Steven B. Ratoff
President, Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Ratoff was appointed by NovaDel's Board in July, 2007, to serve as Interim President and CEO and in 2009 as Interim Chief Financial Officer.

Effective January 1, 2010, the company's Board of Directors appointed Mr. Ratoff President and Chief Executive Officer. He continued to serve as Interim Chief Financial Officer until the appointment of Craig Johnson as Chief Financial Officer in June 2010.

Mr. Ratoff, a private investor, joined our Board in January 2006 and was elected Chairman of the Board in September 2006. Mr. Ratoff has served as a Venture Partner with ProQuest Investments, a health care venture capital firm, and is a member of the Board of Directors of TorreyPines Therapeutics, Inc. He also served as Chairman of the Board and Interim CEO of CIMA Labs, Inc. prior to its sale to Cephalon, Inc., and as Senior VP and CFO of the Pharmaceutical Group at Bristol-Myers Squibb. Mr. Ratoff brings extensive credentials to the Company from his distinguished career in the pharmaceutical and consumer goods industries.

Mr. Ratoff received his B.S. in Business Administration from Boston University and an M.B.A. with Distinction from the University of Michigan. Mr. Ratoff is also a retired Certified Public Accountant.
 
David H. Bergstrom, Ph.D.
Senior Vice President & Chief Operating Officer

Dr. Bergstrom joined NovaDel in December 2006 as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Dr. Bergstrom previously served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Pharmaceutical Development business of Cardinal Health, Inc. Dr. Bergstrom previously served as Vice President of Pharmaceutical and Chemical Development at Guilford Pharmaceuticals and also served in senior positions in preclinical development and pharmaceutical and analytical development at Hoechst Marion Roussel, Inc. and Hoechst-Roussel Pharmaceuticals, Inc., both predecessor companies of Sanofi-Aventis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Prior to that, Dr. Bergstrom worked in pharmaceutical development at CIBA-Geigy Pharmaceuticals, Inc.

Dr. Bergstrom received his Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics from the University of Utah, Salt Lake City, his M.S. in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and his B.S. in Pharmacy from Ferris State University, Big Rapids, Michigan.
 
Craig A. Johnson
Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer & Corporate Secretary

Mr. Johnson joined NovaDel in June 2010 as Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary. Mr. Johnson previously served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of TorreyPines Therapeutics from 2004 until its sale to Raptor Pharmaceutical Corp. in September 2009. Following the sale, he served as Vice President of TPTX, Inc., a subsidiary of Raptor Pharmaceutical Corp., until April 2010. From 1994 to 2004, Mr. Johnson was employed by MitoKor, Inc. where he last held the position of Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of Operations. Prior to MitoKor, he served as a senior financial executive for several early-stage technology companies, and he also practiced as a Certified Public Accountant with Price Waterhouse. Currently, Mr. Johnson is as a member of the board of directors of Ardea Biosciences, a publicly-traded biotechnology company, where he serves as the chairman of the audit committee.

Mr. Johnson received his BBA in accounting from the University of Michigan and is a certified public accountant.

Mark J. Baric
Director

Mr. Baric joined NovaDel's Board in February, 2007. Mr. Baric is President and co-founder of CeNeRx BioPharma Inc., a privately held development company with a therapeutic focus on diseases of the central nervous system. Prior to CeNeRx, he co-founded and served as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of 2ThumbZ Entertainment Inc., a privately-held company which develops and markets entertainment applications for users of handheld wireless devices and networks. Prior to that, Mr. Baric served as Chairman and CEO of several entertainment companies including Virtus Entertainment. Before Virtus, Mr. Baric served in several positions, including Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative Officer of Seer Technologies Inc. (now known as Cicero, Inc.), a provider of business integration software. Before Seer, Mr Baric held various leadership positions at several firms including CS First Boston and Coopers and Lybrand. Mr Baric serves on the Boards of CeNeRx BioPharma, Inc., 2ThumbZ Entertainment Inc. and Concert Technologies, a privately-held company focused on rich media technology and licensing.

Mr. Baric received an M.B.A. from the Wharton school of Business and a B.S. from Clarion University.
 
Thomas Bonney, CPA
Director

Mr. Bonney joined NovaDel’s Board in March 2005. He is President of CMF Associates, LLC, a financial and management consulting firm and also serves as Chief Financial Officer and a director of Leblon Holdings, LLC, a privately held beverage supplier. Prior to founding CMF Associates LLC, Mr. Bonney was a Partner in Polaris Consulting and Information Technologies, a technology solutions provider. Previously, Mr. Bonney worked at Deloitte & Touche, LLC in various positions including Senior Manager.

Mr. Bonney received his B.S. in Accounting at the Pennsylvania State University and is a member of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
 
Charles B. Nemeroff, M.D., Ph.D.
Director

Dr. Nemeroff joined NovaDel’s Board in September 2003. He is currently the Leonard M. Miller Professor and Chairman, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, at Miller School of Medicine, University of Miami. Prior to that, he was the Reunette W. Harris Professor and Chairman of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia since 1991. Dr. Nemeroff serves on the scientific advisory board of numerous publicly-traded pharmaceutical companies including Cypress Bioscience Inc., Astra-Zeneca Pharmaceuticals, Forest Laboratories, Janssen, Organon, GlaxoSmithKline Beecham and Wyeth-Ayerst and is clinical advisory to Acadia Pharmaceutical. In 2002, Dr. Nemeroff was elected to the Institute of Medicine.

Dr. Nemeroff received his B.S. from the City College of New York, his M.S. from Northeastern University, his Ph.D. and Post doctorate from the University of North Carolina and his M.D. from the University of North Carolina.
