| | 1.1% Copper Over 55.7 Metres Sampled At Jutamos | | | Vancouver, BC: Ross River Minerals Inc. (TSX-V: RRM) (the "Company") is pleased to announce that it has completed the second phase of exploration at the Jutamos copper/gold/silver prospect on its 200 square kilometre El Pulpo property located in Sinaloa State, Mexico.
Samples were taken in two phases (see Press Release dated July 7, 2006) totaling 771.2 metres in sixty-three trenches, forty-one ditches and twenty-two outcrops in a prospected area of approximately 1300 metres x 900 metres in a north and east direction.
The results of the sampling program have delineated four anomaly targets named Cerro la Copa, Cerro Pela’o, La Mata del Limon and Los Difuntos.
The Cerro la Copa anomaly covers an area of 300 x 400 metres. 31 samples were taken (12 first stage, 19 second stage). Results included 2.7% copper over 3 metres, 1.9 g/t gold over 3 metres and 79 g/t silver over 2.3 metres. 24 of 31 samples assayed greater than 0.09 g/t gold with an interval of 0.4 g/t gold over 55.7 metres. 9 of 31 samples assayed greater than 25 g/t silver with an interval of 41 g/t silver over 20.6 metres. 24 of 31 samples assayed greater than 0.1% copper with an interval of 0.7% copper over 58.5 metres.
The Cerro Pela’o anomaly covers an area of 150 x 150 metres. 44 samples were taken during the first sampling stage at Jutamos. Results included 1.1% copper over 3 metres, 2.6 g/t gold over 3 metres and 58 g/t silver over 2.5 metres. 38 of 44 samples assayed greater than 0.1% copper with an interval of 0.3% copper over 91 metres. 17 of 44 samples assayed greater than 0.1 g/t gold with an interval of 0.4 g/t gold over 38.5 metres. 11 of 44 samples assayed greater than 25 g/t silver with an interval of 43 g/t silver over 25.5 metres.
La Mata del Limon anomaly covers an area of 400 x 150 metres. 84 samples were taken (45 first stage, 39 second stage). Results included 5.6% copper over 1.5 metres, 3.7 g/t gold over 3 metres and 141 g/t silver over 2.0 metres. 16 of 84 samples assayed greater than 0.4% copper with an interval of 1.1% copper over 55.7 metres, 41 of 84 samples assayed greater than 0.2% copper with an interval of 0.6% copper over 95.9 metres. 19 of 81 samples assayed greater than 0.1 g/t gold with an interval of 0.7 g/t gold over 45.2 metres. 10 of 84 samples assayed greater than 25 g/t silver with an interval of 51 g/t silver over 22.2 metres.
The Los Difuntos anomaly is open on all sides. 20 samples were taken (14 first stage, 6 second stage). Results included 0.3% copper, 0.4 g/t gold and 59 g/t silver over 3 metres.
All anomalous rock samples are hosted by porphyritic rocks, which display oxidation, quartz veining and alteration which grades from phyllic and argillic to a K-spar altered intrusion. The Company is very encouraged by the results of the program and plans to drill the Jutamos targets as soon as possible.
